One day after Brer Rabbit fooled after the rabbit fooled Brer Fox he decided to start devising a plan and went to work. He got a hold of some tar and mixed with turpentine. His final piece of work which he called a Tar-baby who was the center of his mischievous plan. He sat her on the side of a big road and then he went to hide in bushes to see what the outcome would be.

It didn't take long to hear the sounds of Brer rabbit hopping down the road. Every step was filled with such sass - Lippity-clippity, clippity-lippity and foxed remained hidden.

The brer rabbit got a sight of the Tar-baby and surprised by this figure he sat on his hind legs looking at it. Meanwhile, Fox still remained hidden in the bushes.

" Good morning!" said Brer rabbit to the tar-baby. " Pleasant weather we are having!"
The tar-baby stayed silent while the fox still remained hidden.

"How are you doing today?" asked Brer rabbit, again receiving no response from tar-baby.

" Are you deaf because I can talk louder?" said the Brer rabbit, still receiving silence and while fox watched hidden in the bushes.

" You are a rude and stuck up and ill take care of that here and now if its the last thing ill do. Ill show you to be respectful and to answer when people are talking to you. If you don't take off your hat and give me a proper greeting, ill give you a good pounding." Said Brer rabbit in an angered manner and even then still he received silence. He got so angered he made a fist and he hit her right on the head. Then he realized he was stuck in the tar and he couldn't escape and Brer Fox watched it all still hidden.

" If you don't let me go I'll hit you again!" said Brer-Rabbit and he struck her with his other hand, receiving the same ending and silence.  Fox still remained in silence watching it all happen. Then Brer rabbit gave her a head bud and his head got stock along with his hands.

Fox pulled out of the bushes and said " Hey there Brer Rabbit you look a little stuck there," completely overtaken by laughter he rolled on the ground and he laughed till he couldn't anymore.

" I expect you'll take dinner with me this time and I won't take any excuses," said Brer Fox.
