Week 5 Story: The Beast's Fate

There once was a man who had a son. He loved his son very much for it was his only child. This man once walked in the park with his young son and a mysterious old man came up to them the man and said: " I have seen  your son's future and I am here to tell you that your son is fated to be torn into pieces by a beast." At first, the man could not believe this, how could someone say something like this? He did not believe in fortune telling but the old man words resounded in his head. As the days went on the words of his son's fate only grew louder and louder. As he watched his young boy, the most precious gift in his life he became frightened.   " I must protect him no matter what" the man thought to himself holding his little boy tightly in his arms. From that day on the man vowed to never let his son leave the house and he would have everything he ever needed there. Aladdin was careless and lazy by who would do nothing but play all day long in the streets with boys just like him. This saddened the father that he died.   I got a bit carried away! I sort of told the story as it was coming to me!   El Salvador  INTRODUCTION I think I have decided to have 2 children as the protagonist. In this story, the children will somehow get lost or lured in the forest and have different encounters with the spirits. The introduction will be one of the children much older telling his/her story of that night to his/her children or grandchildren. Snow Day In The snow seemed so tall like a blanket that covered our four acres completely. I always thought it was so beautiful to see how the snow covered the ground completely and topped the trees making our green pine trees stand out even more in color. My mom in the kitchen making " chocolate Abuelita" which is the hot chocolate she would make. We could never remember the name of the actual hot chocolate so we would call it that because it had a picture of an older woman on it hence the name "  chocolate Abuelita." The smell filled the house and my siblings and I waited for our warm mug filled with the hot chocolate. We all then decided to play games as a family.  Odyssey: The Cyclops Defeated When dawn came, the cyclops did his morning tasks. He milked the goats and put the goats in order along with their young. When he finished his work he took another two men and ate them as breakfast. After his meal, he took his healthy flock out from the cave. He lifted the gigantic stone door as if it had no weight at all and put it back just as effortlessly leaving us trapped in his lair. As he left to the mountains whistling and guiding his flock. As we were sure he was leaving for the day we had to devise a plan to escape this murderous beast stomach and take vengeance to my follow comrades killed by this beast. I prayed for Athena to grant me a plan to escape the cyclops and inspiration struck me. The best escape seemed to be: Looking around to see what materials I could gather I saw the cyclops huge club laying next to the sheep pen. It was so big it could be the mast of a twenty-foot ship.
